"WineFest 2009": Ann Arbor Art Center 27th Annual WineFest.

This premier charity wine auction usually draws more than 600 people and features live and silent auctions and a strolling supper, followed by classic soul music spun by Ann Arbor Soul Club, the local DJ duo of Brad Hales and Robert Wells. WineFest benefits the Art Center’s innovative art programs including youth and adult art classes, after school and summer outreach, and exhibitions of local and regional artists.

Event Chairs for WineFest 2009 are Toni Morell and Tom Root, representing Zingerman's Community of Businesses. The Honorary Wine Chair is the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula. Honorary Community Chairs are Steve and Sheila Hamp and Doug and Sharon Rothwell.

WineFest 2009 will include a strolling supper, international wine tasting, and a silent and live auction. The annual silent auction will feature domestic and imported wines, jewelry, memorabilia and experience packages. The live auction will feature a unique selection of rare wines and a wide range of priceless experience packages.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the unveiling of the Ann Arbor Art Center’s 100th Anniversary birthday cake. The birthday cake and cupcake display will be created and donated by Zingerman’s Bakehouse.
