INDIO, CA – He’s a living American legend whose music transcends multitudes of generation gaps. Willie Nelson is out on tour, crossing the United States, playing Farm Aid along the way and inspiring country and rock fans to be better people, and of course, to listen to his new album, “An American Classic.” This original country outlaw and his vegetable oil operating tour bus make a much anticipated stop in the Coachella Valley on Friday, December 4th at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Opening for Willie at 8:00p.m. is the band Asleep at the Wheel. Willie takes the stage just after 9:00p.m. inside the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center. Willie Nelson is recognized around the world as an American icon. He’s said to have begun mail order music lessons at the age of six. In his early professional music career, he wrote some of the highest charting music to come out of Nashville in the late 1960s, including Patsy Cline’s “Crazy.” Willie hit his own stride as a singer, songwriter and performer in the 1970s and has not looked back. He has starred in countless movies and has become a prominent social, and sometimes political, activist.
