Williamsburg Community Garden Day September 27, 2003

This year, the GREC Garden is hosting the first annual Williamsburg/Greenpoint Community Garden Day to celebrate community gardens in our neighborhood. The event will feature a parade, local music, dance, food and gardens!

The festivities kickoff at 1PM at GREC Garden, where people will gather for a parade to the Olive and Powers Gardens. The parade will depart from the GREC Garden at 2PM and return in an hour's time. At 3PM, join a bike tour to all the community gardens in Greenpoint and Williamsburg.

Back at the GREC, during the tour 'til 7 PM, we will have performers, food and festivities. Performers include Tango Arts Dance Academy, the Debra Rodman Dance Extension, local bands and more. We will also have children's activities, games and a chance to sign up for composting memberships starting October 1st.

Take the L to Graham Ave. Head north on Graham to Skillman and make a right. The garden's at the corner of Skillman and Kingsland
