Native Species is a stunning new series of glass vessels by William Morris from the George R. Stroemple Collection. Morris discovered his passion for blowing glass at the Pilchuck Glass School in 1978 where he developed his extraordinary technical skills, which, combined with his fervent love of the natural world, would produce some of the most astonishing works seen in the contemporary studio glass movement. His collection encompasses broad interests including Japanese Meiji ceramics and bronzes--the inspiration for Native Species, along with nineteenth-century American paintings and Native American beadwork.
