William Morris Agency's Chris Lockhart will take pitches from AWG members at the Alameda Writers Group (AWG) meeting on Saturday, December 1st, 2007. Doors open at 9:45 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the Glendale Central Library, 222 East Harvard St. Glendale, 91205. Telephone (818) 548-2030. Admission is free, and the library validates parking in the Good Guys parking structure at Harvard and Maryland.

Kick off the holiday season with honest feedback from Chris Lockhart, the former executive story editor of ICM, now with the William Morris Agency. Chris will hear pitches from AWG members only, and will reveal what works and what doesn’t. Guests may become members at the meeting for a membership fee of $65.00. The screenwriter selected for best pitch will have his or her script read by Chris and will receive a follow-up phone conference with him. (A script outline will suffice if the script has not yet been written.)

At William Morris Agency, Chris finds projects for “A” listers like Mel Gibson, Denzel Washington and Steve Martin. He is also a creative consultant for COLLATERAL producer, Julie Richardson, and has set up several projects, including A RHINESTONE ALIBI with Paramount and THE MIDNIGHT MAN with Dimension. .

The AWG presents lectures by novelists, screenwriters, agents, producers, and other industry professionals at free monthly meetings. In addition, AWG members may attend special interest groups that offer support and feedback for works-in-progress.
