William Kentridge: Felix in Exile June 26, 2011

The last video in the 'Longing for Sea-Change' series, William Kentridge's 'Felix in Exile,' tells the story of a man living in exile in Paris while witnessing the ordeals faced by his alter ego, Nandi, a woman working as a land surveyor in the newly democratic South Africa. The nine-minute film is based on 40 charcoal drawings that the artist sketched, reworked and captured in 35mm photographs.
