Wildlife Carousel February 3, 2011

The Metrozoo Wildlife Carousel is a 36-foot wooden carousel featuring 30 hand-carved, custom-made animals and two chariots. Many of the animals represent endangered species, including a cheetah, rhinoceros and baby gorilla. This particular carousel is reminiscent of the hundreds of wooden carousels built across the country during the "golden age" of carousels (1885- 1925).
