1305 E Cliff Dr
Santa Cruz, California 95062

The far end of the museum hosts many exhibits representing the ecosystems and animal life of the Santa Cruz region. Visit the live honeybee display, giving you a peek at the inside of a working hive. A beautiful "chocolate phase" king snake gives you a close-up view of a typical resident of the coastal California region. In addition to live animals, many dioramas feature animals hard to spot in their natural surroundings in the Santa Cruz area. You can find creatures such as a mountain lion and a golden eagle, as well as grassland and wetland re-creations. Also featured are examples of local reptile and amphibian residents, and a display featuring local songbirds and their calls.
