Wilderness First Responder course prepares you for wilderness emergency situations that involve: prolonged patient care, severe environments, and improvised equipment. Topics covered in this 10 day course include: leadership and prevention strategies, CPR for the Professional Rescuer (can be taken as a one day course), advanced patient assessment, anaphylaxis treatment, field wound management, spinal injury evaluation, and field reduction of dislocations. This intensive is the ideal training for youth trip leaders who want to do extended trips in more remote areas.

Leads adult youth workers in developing skills to conduct safe and high quality wilderness trips for young people, allowing them to borrow outdoor equipment (free of charge) to outfit their group.

$550-$625 for 10-day course, includes food and lodging.
