You will learn how to assess and stabilize a patient and treat their injury. Learn how to use a first aid kit as well as your camping supplies to treat a sprained ankle, broken bones, cuts, medical emergencies, heat exhaustion, hypothermia, and snake bites. The class will be taught by David Castaldini (and one other instructor) who has been teaching this course to raft guides on the Ocoee River and has 15 years of experience as a member of the National Ski Patrol. This is a two day class (December 11-12th), from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The cost of the class is $260 per person which includes your meals, lodging, a student handbook, and a course completion card (good for three years).
