ABOUT 5WS

The 5W’s Project – A public art and community partnership project, 5W’s includes community chalkboards, community partnerships (including CHALK, United Playaz, SRO Collaborative/Sisters Rize!,Bindlestiff Studio, Hospitality House, West Bay, and SF CameraWork), a series of arts-based workshops, a re-purposed newspaper kiosk hosting exhibitions, an online interactive map and lighting, sculpture and street furniture installed in key adjacent public spaces (5M Project, Mint Plaza, 6th Street). Each of these components is designed to explore and share thoughts and questions about the histories and future of this neighborhood.

The 5Ws is a project of 5MPlaceWorks, a collaboration led by Intersection for the Arts.

The WHO sculpture will be installed at the Mint Plaza through June 2013.
