Whitlow’s On Wilson, loved Clarendon neighborhood hotspot, has just announced its brand new craft beer program complete with 12 new bottled microbrews including local favorites Flying Dog Ale and AleWerks. To kick off Whitlow’s new craft beer program, the bar will celebrate the launch with its 12 year-long tradition of “Mug Night” on Thursday, July 15th and will hand out free take-home beer mugs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mugs reveive $1.50 refills from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. every Thursday during the Mug Night promotion.

Whitlow’s on Wilson, long renowned for its extensive bar selection, is showing its support for micro breweries and has implemented an ever—growing bottled craft beer program starting with 12 craft brews. Beers such as the Gonzo Imperial Stout from Frederick, MD-based Flying Dog, Chesepeake Pale Ale from Williamsburg, VA-based AleWerks and La Fin Du Monde from Quebec’s Unibroue will join the bar’s existing draft and bottled beer list.

To kick off Whitlow’s new craft beer program, the bar will host its famous Mug Night – a 12 year-long tradition where patrons can either bring in their Whitlow’s mug or purchase one for $1.50 and receive $1.50 refills from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Thursdays. On Thursday, July 15th, Whitlow’s will give away free mugs for two hours from 4p.m. to 6 p.m. to everyone at the bar who asks for one.
