The journey of mystery and fantasy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is action adventures and fantasy movie, where a young hobbit goes on a dangerous path in order to maintain the balance in life. The film is based on the story of a novel named ‘The Hobbit’, which was written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Film is a three part film and ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is the first part of the series. The silver screen flick is directed by Peter Jackson, who is also the producer and screen writer of the film. In past, he has directed the movie, The Lonely Bones, which was a drama, horror and science fiction flick. That film was not in the successful film list at that time.
Peter Jackson is the actor of movies like West Of Memphis and producer of ‘The Adventures Of Tintin’. Now, he is back with a big screen project, which is also based on the same genre like his first film, but this seems to be more effective and interesting than the first one. ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is going to be released on 14 December, 2012 and its other two installments are supposed to be released 2013 and 2014.
The storyline of the film is based sixty years before than Lord of the Rings, where a hobbit along with 13 dwarves, goes to attempt a very difficult task. Bilbo Baggins is a young and inquisitive hobbit, who is has an aim, for which he goes on a thriller journey. There is an evil dragon, who has stolen a treasure and hide himself on lonely mountain. When Bilbo comes to know that, he decides to reclaim for the treasure as it belongs to him.
He decides to go to that lonely mountain. To help him, there are thirteen dwarves, who can be seen all along with him. The hilarious journey starts from Bilbo’s house. In the way to mountain, he meets someone, who changes his life completely and that someone is Gollum. What happens, when Bilbo reaches that dragon? The question will be interested on 14 December,2012.
Bilbo Baggins’s character is played Martin Freeman, who is the actor of films ‘Rembrandt's J'accuse’ and Wild Target. Along with him, there are other actors too, which can be seen playing various characters. Some of the actors are: Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Hugo Weaving, Ian Holm, James Nesbitt, and Christopher Lee.
