FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS: When, How, and What to Say? Teaching Young Children about the Holocaust
Using lessons from the exhibition Curious George Saves the Day: The Art of Margret and H. A. Rey, this workshop will consider questions such as: At what age do we share information about the Holocaust with our children or students? Morgan Blum from Jewish Family and Children’s Services joins the Museum Education Department to discuss best practices for teaching and talking about the Holocaust. The workshop will be followed by a keynote address by Louise Borden, author of the children’s book The Journey that Saved Curious George: The True Wartime Escape of Margret and H. A. Rey.
