STG presents Wheedle's Groove at The Neptune Theatre in Seattle on Saturday, September 22, 2012.

This performance will feature music from Seattle’s forgotten funk and soul scene originating from the 1960s and1970s. The lineup will feature Steven Banks of Acapulco Gold, Overton Berry, Herman Brown of Cookin’ Bag, Tony Gable and Jamar Jenkins of Cold, Bold & Together, Curtis Hammond Jr. of Broham, Robbie Hill of Robbie Hill’s Family Affair, Black on White Affair and Pastor Patrinell Staten Wright & members of the Total Experience Gospel Choir.

After 30 years, Acapulco Gold, known for their hard-hitting rhythms and signature horns, has returned to the Seattle music scene. Another one of the top live bands in the late 60's and early 70's, they are back with their still strong soulful sound.
