Deborah Buck’s recent acrylic works on paper and her bold abstract paintings from the 1980’s will be the focus of the upcoming exhibition. “What’s Inside?” refers to the centralized forms, which are the “subject” of Buck’s recent paintings; anthropomorphic wrapped objects both inviting and slightly sinister. The combination of rich colors, deep tones and the occasional use of glitter also add to the dark but playful allure of the artist’s work.
