Join us for a discussion, led by Yahoo! Green Editor Sam Silverstein, about green consumer behavior. Sam Silverstein has engaged audiences at some of Yahoo's key properties since 2002.
Today, Silverstein edits Yahoo! Green, Yahoo's one-stop resource for green news, tips, and information aimed at helping consumers make green choices. Under his guidance, Yahoo! Green has refined its voice and broadened its appeal.
Prior to joining Yahoo! Green, Silverstein helped program the company's home page, leading the team responsible for the contents of the "Featured" tab front and center on www.yahoo.com. He began as managing editor of Yahoo! Sports, where he raised the level of editorial talent and industry leadership.
Before joining Yahoo!, Silverstein helped produce NBC Sports' online coverage of the Sydney and Salt Lake City Olympic Games. His first Web content job was with Nike in 1997, "the early days of radio," he says.
Silverstein graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in English and journalism minor in 1991. He lives in Fairfax, California with his wife Lisa, who is a news producer at the local ABC affiliate, and their two children.
