When MacArthur ‘Genius’ Fellowship recipient Dave Isay lost precious recordings of his grandmother and great-aunts, he created StoryCorps, the NPR-affiliated oral history program that records people’s stories free of charge and archives them at the Library of Congress. With tens of thousands of recordings under its belt, StoryCorps will present a selection of its most inspiring clips of people losing and finding each other and of families discovering the stories that made them who they are. In addition, the Museum’s StoryCorps StoryBooth staff will offer tools and tips on recording and preserving your family’s history.
