The Weymouth and Portland Armed Forces Day Celebrations provide an opportunity to thank the veterans and current service men and women who have and continue to fight for our freedom. The main activities take place on the Saturday which the Royal Engineers Beach Assault and Bridge Building Demonstration together with historic military vehicle displays and convoy, big band dance. Sunday at 11 am the Service of Remembrance and Parade takes place on Weymouth Seafront with over 2,000 participants. Other activities include Veterans Rendezvous, Association stands, talks and lectures, Badge presentation etc etc.
