Westport's Blues, Views & BBQ Festival September 24, 2010

This popular food and music festival kicks off its third year with a concert by Blues Traveler on Friday evening. The music continues on Saturday and Sunday with 11 blues groups, held on the grounds of the Levitt Pavilion and the Westport Public Library overlooking the Saugatuck River in Westport, CT. This year's fest, sanctioned by the country's premier BBQ organization, Kansas City BBQ Society, features PBS celebrity chef Rick Browne, host of PBS Barbecue America. Browne will demonstrate master griller recipes and participate in the festival's pro-am "barbecue throw-down." The family friendly event includes a Kids BBQ competition and children's activities, sponsored by toy manufacturer Melissa & Doug.
