This classical and enduring musical - called by many, the greatest American musical ever written - is being produced with some of the Bay Area's finest young performing artist. The teen-aged characters, who are at the heart of this story, will be portrayed by teen-agers, and the adults who surround their lives, will be played by adults.

We are thrilled to bring this profoundly moving story, based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet-- about the power of love in an atmosphere of racism, hate and violence-- to our loyal audiences and newcomers alike.

West Side Story - featuring a stellar cast of young performing artists led by Joshua Herman as Tony, Sophia Sinsheimer as Maria, Marnina Wirtshafter as Anita, Andrew Humann as Riff, and Jarron Liclican as Bernardo - will open July 13th, 2012, and run for 6 performances only.

Directed by Jennifer Boesing, choreographed by Pam Crane & David Schleiffers, and performed with a 33-piece orchestra, led by Musical Director David Moschler. Featuring original orchestrations by Bernstein, Kostal & Ramin.

Music by Leonard Bernstein, Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Script by Arthur Laurents.
