The Accordion Babes are back! Squeezing, serenading and sauntering onstage with their many bellowed antics. Featuring French Chanteuse YETI, Tara Linda, Amber Lee Baker, Luz Gaxiola (Circus, Tex-Mex) and Renee de la Prade (Celtic Rock). You will be transported on a trip around the world with tangos, waltzes, polkas, train songs, shanties, and French rock. These squeezebox specialists will shimmy their way into your heart and are all featured in the post-apocalyptic 2012 Accordion Babes Pin-up Calendar that will also be available at the show.

French Chanteuse, Jeti Swart: Jeti Swart, who pronounces her first name "Yeti", was born in the port of Amsterdam. She thought of a career as a graphic designer but exchanged her computer for an accordion in Prague, and serenaded her way from Paris to Mexico before landing in San Francisco. She calls her music a "punk-style gypsy party where Nina Hagen, Edith Piaf and Kurt Weill meet". She's hilarious, engaging, dramatic, energetic, touching and thoroughly original. Overheard by a drunk witness in Montreal: "This woman is crazy!" http://www.myspace.com/yetila

Tara Linda (Tortilla Western/Tex-Mex): Equipped with a sultry voice, button accordion, and baritone ukulele, chanteuse Tara Linda plays original jazzy blues, Latin torch, and American roots. A Hohner-endorsed artist, she writes new tangos, waltzes, and boleros, and skirts global genres to blend them into a style uniquely hers. Influenced by the early torch singers of American and Latin American cultures, Tara writes original music grounded in the Texas traditions she grew up with; Americana, blues, rock, and jazz. She has a world music heritage (Indian) and sings in Spanish and English. Tara Linda's performances are described as "mesmerizing" (Oakland Tribune/San Jose Mercury News) and her vocals “rich” and "sultry" (The Muse's Muse). http://www.taralinda.com

Luz Gaxiola (Circus, Tex-Mex) Luz fuzes accordion together with circus and comedy. She is a clown with Circus Finelli, San Francisco's all-women clown troupe, who specialize in pairing breathtaking circus with irreverent comedy. Besides accordion, Luz also plays trombone and theremin. She is based in San Francisco, and can be seen performing up and down the coast from Seattle to Mazatlan. www.circusfinelli.com

Amber Lee Baker (Sassy Folk) aka Amber Lee and the Anomalies is the Cover Babe of the 2012 Accordion Babes Album and Pin-Up Calendar! She performs original songs that range between bawdy cabaret, melodious folk ballads, gypsy tunes and soulful spirituals. She has been extensively touring since 2008 and typically performs as a one-woman show with her accordion, loop pedal and glockenspiel.

Renee de la Prade (Celtic Rock) Renee fuses rock-n-roll, Cajun music, Blues, French and Irish tunes into her own exciting, boot-stomping show. She rocks a mini Irish diatonic squeezebox with a custom bass system she installed herself. She repairs, sells, and teaches accordion at Smythe's Accordion Center in Oakland, CA. Catch her with the Americana Cajun trio Whiskey & Women or performing solo in venues around the world. Rene²e is the mastermind behind the Accordion Babes Pin-Up Calendar.
