Weekly Contra Dance in Charlotte December 10, 2007

Charlotte Country Dancers offer contra dancing every Monday night in Charlotte. Dance to live local music with free lessons, no partner necessary. Discover the enjoyment of this living tradition!

$7 adults. Beginner's workshop at 7:30, dancing by 8:00.

Contra Dance is a non-competitive, social dance form. Prepare to sweat. Each dance is taught briefly so no experience is needed. Patterns resemble a madcap square dance requiring thinking and fast reflexes so all venues are substance free. Newcomers welcome be they youths, seniors, or somewhere in between.
