Mark Smith of Hi Films an independent digital video production company based in Yorkshire will be presenting his Producer Collaboration Initiative, (PCI) a proposed network of digital video producers from across our region who together will provide an unparalleled Web TV platform focusing on Positive News Stories.

The service aims to be the first community web TV platform focusing on Positive News stories from across our region.

The station will be built through a collaboration of Producers who will be invited to submit regular content to the station for a share in the stations profits from advertising and sponsorship revenues. The stories will be clear, truthful and will reflect the regions strengths, highlighting everything that makes Yorkshire Great!

Another key to the success of this initiative will be in the people who tell the stories. With each producer working from within their own area, sourcing positive news stories from the communities, places and people they know well.

This collaboration will help to build a powerful regional brand focusing on the great and the good that makes up Yorkshire. We are great, and we aim to shout about it!
Mark’s Positive Focus.
Mark Smith of Hi Films said
“This initiative provides producers with the opportunity to create rich content on the region whilst promoting the people of Yorkshire through their stories, interests and lifestyles. The station’s positive focus will help us to look at the good, and build a real belief in ourselves once more; Yorkshire is fantastic and so are its people. We are all tired of looking at the bad - turn on your TV for that. I know people understand that there is more good than bad being over looked every day in our lives and the people and places in our region should be allowed to shine bright”. It will be great to share stories however small and give everyone a voice – and a big smiley face!”

Richard Branson said: “Flowers flourish when they’re watered, and shrivel up when they are not. People are no different. The best leaders are the ones who look for the best in people”.
So let’s be the best, and see the best in everyone.

The producers will have the option to input into the development of the station, investing as much or as little as they can in-turn for shares in the stations successes. As a single producer it is difficult to create enough content to compete with the larger networks, but as a collaborative everything is possible.

Hi Films are also seeking sponsorship and advertising revenues from the regions businesses for this free-view service. Interested parties are also invited to attend.
We then aim to grow the station as it becomes more popular and expand into a full IPTV channel independent of its current community TV provider Veoh.tv.
