Web Monday is an informal, non-commercial, and completely community-driven event that aims to connect the people who are shaping the future of the internet. Inspired by the culture of Silicon Valley, it started out in Cologne, Germany in late 2005 in an effort to help spread those sunny California vibes.
Since its inception, Web Monday has spread fast: meetings are now being held on a regular basis in 30+ cities all across Germany, in Austria (Vienna, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Graz), Sweden (Stockholm), Silicon Valley as well as on Second Life. Nurturing the local web 2.0 and internet startup scenes, Web Monday’s 100+ meetings have attracted 1,000+ repeat participants so far, and good things have come out of it.
Anyone involved in web 2.0 or neighboring fields who is interested in learning and sharing with others is most welcome to join. Whether you are a thinker, builder, designer, founder or funder – Web Monday is your chance to present your product, your service, your startup, or your next big idea to a growing audience of web aficionados.
Just like last year, we expect there'll be a few people from overseas in town for Web 2.0 Expo. Should be fun!

We have our first sponsor for our April event: Berlin Partner GmbH (http://www.berlin-partner.de) will help make sure we have enough snacks and drinks for everybody. Thanks!
Nice, 40+ signups. Anyone have any venue ideas? Should host 50-80 people. Thanks!
When will the venue be announced? The list seems to be growing.

We'll be at Citizen Space once again this year for the presentations, but may head over to a pub nearby for socializing and drinks afterwards. Stay tuned for more details!

Who's doing video? It'd be great if someone could take this on (can be more than one). Let me know, thanks!
Also, who could be at Citizen Space around 5pm to help with setup and maybe a few last minute errands? Thanks!
Ok, it's on: April 21 is a nice date as a number of people from overseas will be in town for Web 2.0 Expo. Should be fun. Now we need a venue, sponsors for food and drinks, and a few volunteers to help organize. Thanks!
