Copies of the photographs taken by 20th Century African American Scholar, W.E.B. DuBois, depict the lives of Negroes in Georgia in 1899. Using charts, graphs and photographs, Dr. DuBois documented the progress of Negroes in Georgia, just 35 years after the end of slavery by The Emancipation Proclamation. Dr. DuBois created his exhibit for the 1900 World Fair held in Paris, France. It won him a gold medal. This exquisite exhibit brings to life a too long forgotten treasure.
