Wear The Pink Socks
Croyez takes a Pink ‘step’ in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

[Singapore, September 2011] In support of Breast Cancer Awareness 2011 in Singapore by Breast Cancer Foundation (“BCF”), Croyez Studio, the first and largest fitness studio in Asia that offers group Power Plate® workouts, pledges to donate $5 for BCF’s yearly Pink Ribbon project for each customer who wears pink socks.

Recent research has shown that exercise reduces the risk of breast cancer. According to Journal of Breast Cancer Research, November 2008, vigorous exercise may cut risk of breast cancer by as high as 30 percent in normal-weight women.

Another research published in May 2008 by Journal of the National Cancer Institute also pointed out that girls and young women who exercise regularly between the ages of 12 and 35 have a substantially lower risk of breast cancer before menopause compared to those less active.

“More than 80% of our customers who work-out at Croyez Studio @ Dempsey and @Purvis are females. A high percentage is between 25 to 35 years old. Through the Pink Socks Campaign, we hope to drive the message of pink of health, raise awareness and garner support for Breast Cancer Awareness,” shares Ms Gwendolyn Thio, Director, Croyez Studio.

At Croyez Studio, a 25 minutes workout on the Power Plate® is equivalent to a 2.5 hour workout at the gym. The machine vibrates three dimensions at 25 – 50 times per second which explains the effectiveness and its popularity among the busy females in Singapore.

Play your part and support Breast Cancer Awareness 2011 by simply wearing Pink socks and shape your health with Croyez Studio. Trial sessions are priced at $18, and $5 will be donated to BCF. So remember to put on your pink socks!
