Eric Abate-guitarist, composer, performer, teacher and band leader-grew up in Lyon, France. He attended the acclaimed Aimera Jazz School of Music where he studied for three years with some of France's finest jazz players. He performed with various groups in France before moving to the U.S. in 1989; living in Oregon, Eric has had the opportunity to perform with various groups on the West Coast. He played and directed the band "Lazoo", a jazz-fusion group from Eugene, Oregon for 10 years. His current jazz trio, WEIII, is up and coming in Portland, Oregon.

Eric is an accomplished musician with more than 30 years of musical experience. His passion to play transcends into his own creativity and captivates any attentive soul.

WE3 is a focused compilation of seasoned musicians playing jazz standards, originals and groove improvisations complimented with drums & bass and infiltrated with a landscape of guitar. WE3 includes: Eric Abate, jazz guitar, Will Moye, bass and Edwin Coleman III, drums.
