A tepid late summer night: the stored, fusty heat of the recent day is released from the funnels of the Berlin underground. The crickets are chirping within the high grass amidst the barren land next to the river Spree. Near to the Schilling bridge the flashing fluorescent advertising board reflects in the murky water that wobbles according to the basslines of the club nearby. For this very special night in August the well-known institution of the Berlin techno circuit Frank Mueller invites Marco Passarani (Rom), Jimpster (London) and Redshape (Berlin) to celebrate a party dedicated to timeless romantic techno.
Marco Passarani from Italy is famous for his sets that evolve into acid heavy dance excursions. Since the beginning of the 1990ies, the Rome based DJ and producer combines the splendid drama of Italo-Disco and the thrill of techno to unforgettable emotional journeys. His longplayer "Sullen Look" was acclaimed as one of the best techno releases in 2005, and just now he is up to release new stuff on his very own label Final Frontier.

The renaissance of this melancholic dance music is associated with the recent releases of the phenomenal Neo-Detroit producer Redshape. The real name of this outstanding musician is a well kept secret: the reality outside of the club is slipped off completely when he puts on his red mask. Redshape is a pure fictional character, similar to those made by his main reference persons - Underground Resistance. He is a piece of art itself; identical with the music he will perform live on stage as well as his conceptional ideas. With his magical retro-futuristic tracks he carries the machine made dance music into the new century: he electrifies the dancefloor with his elegant melodious compositions, his drifting beats and his floating soundscapes.
The two guests will be supported by the host Frank Müller and the party rockers Tim Thaler & F.O.S.T. who will perform as the Neon Twins.

As in the sequels, there will be a house floor again, covering a wide range of fine club music. We're very proud to host Jimpster from London - one of the key personalities in the contemporary house scene. For 15 years now, Jimpster has produced elektronica, downtempo and house. Ten years ago he founded his own label Freerange Records notorious for high-quality output. Nowadays Jimpster is one of the remixers in great demand. On the comfy second floor of the Maria club he will present his definition of House – melodious, catchy and open-hearted.

He will be supported by Gawron Paris from Berlin. This duo is absolutely the right one for this job. With their party series “Stella the bitch!” the two guys, René Gawron and Ron Paris, spread their idea of warm and catchy house sound. Their own funky productions got released on the American label Nordic Trax.

And for sure, this time "We Love Neon" host Ivogima will be joining us again! This gentleman knows the sound the ladies love!
