"We Have Seen His Star" is the Annual Christmas Concert of the Oakland Bay Area Community Chorus (OBACC), whose mission is to preserve the traditional African American Spiritual. The concert will feature soulful renditions of seldom performed traditional Chistrmas Spirituals, traditional Christmas carols and a gospel rendition of "Go Tell It on the Mountain." To celebrate the historic election of the first African American President, Barack Ohama, the chorus will perform B.B. Winans' composition "We Need One Another," which was first aired on Oprah Winfrey's post election special.

William (Bill) Bell, a multifaceted musican extraordinaire, known in the Bay Area as the Jazz Professor, is founder and director of OBACC. Loni William, Assistant Director, is a recorded vocalist and spealist in Gospel music.

The internationally renown, award winning Oakland Youth Chorus will be the featured quest. They have performed in many cities across the United States, including The White House in Washington, D.C. Their international performances include Canada, Jamaica, and Japan. LaNell Martin is their concert performance director.

Join the Oakland Bay Community Chorus and Oakland Youth Chorus as they herald in the Christmas Season with music of the ages and present day songs.
