Yahoo's Fire Eagle is a cutting-edge effort to better integrate location into web and mobile applications through a set of simple but powerful APIs. Using Fire Eagle applications can securely update or query a user's location based on the user's permission. At the same time, Fire Eagle provides the user with flexible control over their data and privacy. Mor Naaman of Stanford's InfoLab and Yahoo will provide an insights into this exciting technology.
