WBEZ Presents Mutants, Androids, and Cyborgs: The Science of Pop Culture October 20, 2010

Chicago Public Media (WBEZ 91.5 FM) continues its Off-Air Series with Mutants, Androids, and Cyborgs: The Science of Pop Culture Films at the Ryan Family Auditorium, Technological Institute, Northwestern University, 2145 Sheridan Road, on Wednesday, October 20 at 7:00pm. WBEZ's Gabriel Spitzer will be joined by four of Northwestern University's leading scientists to discuss their fields as seen on the big screen and learn how closely futuristic depictions of science match what's really possible. In collaboration with Science in Society at Northwestern University, guests will view some favorite science fiction movie moments and hear in-depth discussion about the relationship between pop culture and hard science.
