Join Wayne Wallace's Latin Jazz Quintet for a unique Mid-peninsula performance at the Foster City Jewish Community Center. The Cultural and Performing Arts Department of the Peninsula Jewish Community Center offers high-quality, multi-disciplinary arts programming and cultural opportunities. Intimate performances, lectures, art exhibits and workshops, featuring emerging and established artists and thinkers, will strive to entertain, educate and enlighten.

The group is fresh off it's 2010 Grammy Nomination for Latin Jazz Album of the Year for "Bien Bien!" -- with a new CD, "From Hear to There" which is equally as impressive.

Wayne is practically a one-man ecosystem of jazz. He is a phenomenal trombonist, composer, arranger, bandleader, educator, producer, and head of his own record label. Pursuing each of these endeavors with unparalleled passion, imagination, and artistry, Wayne has become a towering figure in the Bay Area jazz scene.

Wayne’s acclaimed Latin Jazz Quintet brings together some of the area’s best players: Dave Belove on bass, Murray Low on piano, Mike Spiro on percussion, and Colin Douglas on drums.

The 57th Street Gallery is the brain child of Floyd Pellom, who has been collecting exclusive works of fine art for many years with a focus on works of jazz musicians and musical themes. In addition, he has launched a weekend jazz series to expose the community to the jazz world.
