Tenor saxophonist Wayne Escoffery is a powerful soloist and a gifted bandleader like his mentor Jackie McLean. He has worked notably with Eric Reed and Tom Harrell, as well as releasing four recordings as a leader. His Veneration band is a trumpet, vibes, bass and drums quartet.
