The Watts Towers Day of the Drum Festival is dedicated to percussion and the traditional role of drumming in human societies, and draws a crowd from all over the city and around the world. Every known human culture has used drumming in its rituals and as a form of communications -- it is the pulse of our hearts and souls. This was the first festival in the world dedicated to multiculturalism and every year features local performers who have brought their musical traditions from every corner of the earth to Los Angeles, one of the world's most diverse and exciting cities. The FREE event features food and arts & crafts vendors, day-long free children's activities, and the Citywide Universal Drum Circle open to all who want to join in.
