Watershed Wide Event March 3, 2007

Are you looking for a fun way to give back to your community?

On March 3, 2007, the ninth annual Watershed Wide Event will bring together hundreds of volunteers from throughout the area to 11 sites in the Johnson Creek watershed for a variety of activities. Volunteers of all ages and abilities will help enhance the creek by removing invasive species, planting native trees and shrubs, and mulching new plants!

By coming together on this day in March, watershed residents and others can support restoration in their own neighborhood as well as contribute to the greater vision of a healthy Johnson Creek.

* When: Saturday, March 3, 2007, 9am-noon
* Where: At 11 locations throughout the watershed (see below)
* How: Help by planning, sponsoring or participating in the event

Get Involved!

There are many ways to get involved and support this great community event - even before it happens!

* Encourage your organization or place of business to place an ad in our upcoming winter newsletter and benefit from the distribution to nearly 2,000 recipients! Advertise your work, or write an article about it. All of the proceeds from ad placements go to support Watershed Wide Event Planning.
* Make a donation of food, money or time to planning the Watershed Wide Event. There are lots of logistics involved in putting an event like this together. Please consider volunteering your time to support the planning effort!
* Field a team at one of the 11 restoration work party sites along the creek. Get your coworkers, Girl or Boy Scout Troop, club or friends together for a morning of rewarding work restoring Johnson Creek.
