A YUGOSLAVIAN BUILT CLASS 62 USA TYPE 0-6-0 TANK THAT WAS BUILT IN 1960. SHE IS BASED ON THE WWII USATC S100 CLASS SHUNTER THAT USED TO WORK AT SOUTHAMPTON DOCKS DURING THE WAR AND LATER ACQUIRED BY THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY IN 1946 FROM THE US ARMY.



LORD NELSON
DESIGNED BY R.E.L MAUNSELL, LORD NELSON ENTERED SERVICE ON THE FORMER SOUTHERN RAILWAY IN 1926 AS AN EXPRESS PASSENGER LOCOMOTIVE. IT WAS THE MOST POWERFUL IN BRITAIN AT THE TIME. LORD NELSON IS TODAY PART OF THE NATIONAL COLLECTION.

ALSO REPRESENTING THE EX SOUTHERN REGION IS OUR VERY OWN BULLEID WEST COUNTRY No. 34007 ‘WADEBRIDGE’. THIS 4-6-2 WAS ONE OF HER CLASS THAT RETAINED THE ORIGINAL AIR-SMOOTHED CASING AND WERE NICK NAMED ‘SPAM CANS’ DUE TO THEIR SHAPE
