Washington Women in Public Relations Emerging Leaders Awards July 17, 2012

Washington Women in Public Relations is the only professional society for women communicators in the greater capital area. The Emerging Leaders Award (ELA) is a WWPR signature event, occurring annually and attended by an average of 150 people (both members and non-members). The Emerging Leaders Award is a special accolade for young women active within the communications field, who have made a significant impact on the industry. The award highlights their potential to contribute to the industry for many years to come. This third annual event recognizes rising stars in the industry, and showcases six of the field's most talented young women (ages 23-30) for their professional accomplishments. Three awardees from the six finalists will be named at the award ceremony based on not only their contributions thus far, but for their potential to contribute to the industry for many years to come, making them truly emerging leaders. During the event, attendees will be introduced to the finalists and hear from a well-known keynote speaker. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
