On Tuesday January 10, 2006 at 7:30 pm at The Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum, WMV will perform an all-Mozart concert, expressing our deep gratitude that this composer came into the world in January of 1756!

The program includes the glorious Quintet for piano and winds in Eb Major K.452. Mozart himself wrote of it, "I consider it the best thing I have ever written." Of course, that was before he wrote the exquisite clarinet quintet K.581. The clarinet and piano version of K.581 is also on the program, along with the gorgeous soprano arias Ruhe sanft, mein holdes Leben, from Zaide, and L'amero, saro costante, from Il Re Pastore. This will be a very satisfying program.

The performers are Elizabeth Kluegel, soprano, Yeong-Su Kim, oboe, Benjamin Redwine, clarinet, Beth Graham, french horn (BSO), Ben Greanya, bassoon, Carl Banner, piano.

Come celebrate the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Washington Musica Viva!

The Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum is at 10001 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda MD 20814. Admission is $18 in advance, or $20 at the door. Send check to WMV, 9925 Dickens Ave, Bethesda MD 20814 (postmarked by January 7). For further information, call 301-493-5729.
