Walt Disney’s So Dear to My Heart will be presented September 1-30, (except for September 17 and 24), Wednesday through Monday at the Walt Disney Family Museum at 1 and 4pm - $5/child; $7/adult.

Set in 1903 Indiana, So Dear to My Heart combines live action and animation, a film technique Walt Disney had pioneered in the 1920s. Released in 1948, the 82-minute Technicolor film tells the tale of Jeremiah Kincaid (Bobby Driscoll) and his struggle to raise his 'champion' lamb, Danny (named for the famed race horse, Dan Patch, who is also portrayed in the film). Jeremiah's dream of exhibiting Danny at the Pike County Fair must overcome the stubborn objections of his loving, yet strict Grandmother Granny (Beulah Bondi). Jeremiah's closest pal, Uncle Hiram (Burl Ives), is the boy's biggest supporter. For a look at the opening and closing credits, please visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gJGenNVkGk.
