On Friday, August 15th the premier of 'Walking the River' will occur at 7 p.m. at Happy Days Lodge. Admission is free; donations will be accepted for the Scholarship Fund of the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center.
Journey along the Cuyahoga River in this lighthearted documentary. Join three local filmmakers as they travel from Cleveland into NE Ohio's industrial valley, walk into one of the most visited National Parks in the country, discover wildlife and engaging personalities, consider the river's complex watershed, Akron's water quality strategies, and paddle to the rapidly developing rural origins of the river. Along the way stories of the river's fiery past blend with a unique look at its current state. Raise your awareness of complex
environmental issues that affect the river's course by seeing through the eyes of the people who live and work along its banks.
The film is locally produced by Blue Hole Productions and sponsored by The George Gund Foundation, The Cleveland Foundation, and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association with The Doll Family Foundation. The film is written and directed by Jonathan Shick and Ryan Rodriguez.
