Walk the World (WtW) is a global advocacy and fundraising event to end child hunger. It supports a number of the UN Millennium Development Goals. It takes place in 24 time zones within 24 hours to highlight the problem of child hunger and raise funds for WFP’s School Feeding Programme. The Walk is a joint effort between the UN World Food Programme and its partners, TNT, Unilever and DSM. Nearly one billion people – one in six people on the planet – go to bed hungry at night, and one in three children in the developing world is stunted due to micronutrient deficiencies. Since its inception 6 years ago, Walk the World has mobilized approximately 1 million participants and fed over 100,000 children in school. WFP is the world's largest humanitarian organization, and is the UN’s frontline agency in the fight against global hunger. The walk shall start from HUDA Gymkhana club and covers Leisure valley and finish again at the same venue. Enjoy music, refreshments & have fun.
