This community celebration is open to the public. Although no start times are listed, most wacipis start Fridays at 7 p.m. with a Grand Entry. Saturday and Sunday sessions start with a Grand Entry at 1 p.m. and at 7 p.m.
Powwows are not staged for tourists, but are, rather, family and tribal events that welcome visitors. Listen to the announcer to learn about what is happening in the dance arena. Ask questions of the participants and don't forget to take time to stroll outside of the arena to visit the many arts and food vendors.
