VT Seva Cancer Awareness and Prevention Walk March 28, 2010

VT Seva is a youth non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to promote understanding and tolerance in society by empowering youth, the value of volunteering and philanthropy. Our youth volunteers are learning how to plan, develop, and implement projects for protection of animals and environment, promote free health programs, provide quality education and life skills to underprivileged families, help organize disaster relief programs in time of need, and build bridges between different communities. Our volunteers are bringing awareness for the four pillars of VT Seva's outreach projects: literary awareness, environmental campaigns, blind awareness and education, as well as cancer awareness, early detection and cure programs.

YOU CAN HELP US OUT. Pizza My Heart is hosting its very own fundraiser for VT SEVA! Please go to Pizza My Heart on San Felipe Rd on Monday, March 22, mention VT Seva, and you're automatically helping our cause as they will give us 30% of all profits.

Also, by showing up to the walk and giving us a minimum of $5 per person, we would easily reach our projected funds. If you own a small business, are a doctor/dentist, and would like to sponsor our walk, please contact [email protected]. Current sponsors include Radio Fundoo, Bluelight Cinemas, Dr. Greene M.D., and Telugu AM.

We ask everyone to bring a donation of $5 per person (But more is very appreciated). Actually, here's how sponsorship breaks down:
$5 - To sponsor a free VIA test or Pap smear
$10 - To sponsor a free mammogram
$25 - For cancer screening and hospital visits

Proceeds will go to local cancer research organizations such as Susan G. Komen's Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

People who raise a lot of money will be qualified to win a prize. We also ask that you try and bring 3 friends and your family, and spread the word please.

Cancer is a serious disease, and the more people you bring, the more money you donate, the more you're helping the cause. It's a win-win-win situation!
