Voyageur is a concert of music by living composers given by Chicago's premiere new music ensemble Palomar. The highlight of the concert is Le Chemin de Salut, the monumental new work, composed especially for Palomar, by Oberlin composer Christopher Dietz.

Spotlighting Chicago's earliest history and drawn from factual sources, this piece is a riveting look at the collision of cultures between early French settlers in the Chicago region and the Native American inhabitants.

Also on the concert is Derek Bermel's virtuosic Mulatash Stomp which intertwines Balkan rhythms with American house and trance music, British composer Peter Seabourne's haunting work Sadness of the King for mixed ensemble and Michael Torke's evocative tour de force After the Forest Fire for marimba, flute and cello.
