Voodoo Child is a three-piece Jimi Hendrix tribute band. This is not simply a tribute, but a continuation of the Hendrix ritual, augmenting much of Hendrix' material with today's rock, funk, Caribbean, jazz, Worldbeat and hip hop rhythms. Still going strong for 39 non-stop years, this is the only authentic Jimi Hendrix tribute band. Voodoo Child (featuring Jimy Bleu) was formed while Jimy was a member of the Jimi Hendrix official fan club at Warner/Reprise Records, 40 years ago. Jimy plays guitar (a right handed guitar played upside down, left handed...ala Hendrix) behind his back, behind his head and on the floor, complete with flaming guitar theatrics.
