Volo Bog Guided Tour June 20, 2010

The one-hour bog tour follows a half-mile boardwalk through all the stages of classic bog succession as an old glacial lake gives way to sphagnum moss, orchids, poison sumac and tamarack trees. Frogs and tadpoles entertain most every visitor spring through fall. Muskrats and mink delight the more careful observers.
