1st Ave, between 9th & 10th
New York City, New York

in short:
A brand new, sick, twisted and hilarious apocalyptic mock variety show, written by the man who penned "Animaniacs" and "Pinky & The Brain" (and won three Emmys for them), Gordon Bressack. Gordon stars in the show along with its co-creator, the infamous Ruby Lynn Reyner of Ruby & The Rednecks (the original opening act for The New York Dolls at Max's Kansas City). To combine old-school street-cred with today's talent, the show also features a variety of guest stars doing real acts alongside scripted production numbers. Scheduled to appear are Miss Exotic World Julie Atlas Muz, dirty folk singer Jessica Delfino, drag legend Lavinia Co-op, burlesque queen Howlin' Vic and a few others.

"Unrelentingly engrossing, assaulting, entertaining, appalling, very funny and bloomingly sick" - Other Stages

"A raucous variety show, fueled by the kind of energy and campy panache that used to make Off-Off Broadway so much fun." - SoHo News

War in the Middle East! Right-wing Christians! Arab terrorists! Global warming and Britney Spears' vagina! All signs of the impending Apocalypse? We think so. Our solution? Let's put on a show!

Back after rave reviews, sold-out houses and 25 years, "VOIDEVILLE: The Last Show on Earth" returns for three weeks only! First presented to critical acclaim and packed audiences in 1979, VOIDEVILLE is more inappropriate and sicker than ever. Consisting of every kind of entertainment, from a spastic Lion Tamer to Dildo The Clown, it features elaborate and hilarious production numbers that underline the theme of a post-apocalyptic world in which this is the last vestige of entertainment.

Different guest stars from the New York underground scene appear in every performance, including Miss Exotic World Julie Atlas Muz, drag legend Lavinia Co-op, burlesque queen Howlin' Vic and many others.

The show was created by and stars Gordon Bressack and Ruby Lynn Reyner, both veterans of the infamous Playhouse of the Ridiculous. Gordon Bressack is a three-time Emmy Award winner for writing the hit animated television shows "Animaniacs" and "Pinky & The Brain". He is also the first ever recipient of the Writer's Guild Animation Writing Award. Ruby Lynn Reyner, a recipient of the Drama Desk Award for acting, also headlines the rock group Ruby & The Rednecks, the original opening act for The New York Dolls. Ruby was last seen in Taylor Mac's 2006 production of "Red Tide Blooming" at PS122.
