Voices for Silent Disasters Kick-Off Concert For Uganda - Thomas Lauderdale, China Forbes, Art Alexakis, and Loveness Wesa and the White Bantuz October 9, 2007

Please join us *next Tuesday* at McMenamins Kennedy School as Thomas Lauderdale, China Forbes, Art Alexakis, and Loveness Wesa and the White Bantuz kick off the Voices for Silent Disasters concert series. The October 9 event includes a screening of "War Dance," a documentary about children in a camp in northern Uganda - all of them victims of brutality, some former child soldiers - who find solace and transformation through dance, and wind up headed to Kampala for a national dance competition. (This film won the best director award at Sundance!)
