"Vitelloni" (literally, big calves) is Fellini's word to describe idle, perpetually adolescent young men without jobs or means of support. The film follows five hell-raising wastrels in Rimini (Fellini's own hometown) as they stumble through life, mooching off their parents and friends to get by.
